Business Stuff (3)

Sarah - we need color software or whatever it's called. Shannon Stewart suggested it. My pictures are looking rich and deep in photoshop, but once I reduce them to .jpg for upload and see them online they are blown out... so I either go back and do ANOTHER version with boosted levels or I let it remain blown out. Bad.

Adrea: Abby's Second Family

(Abby desperately wants to be a part of this family. I don't know why - they eat a lot of veggies!)

A note: These are so small because I am having a space issue and the true quality ones are already tucked safely away on my hard drive. Don't bother double clicking, they don't get any bigger. That's hugely annoying isn't it? Okay, I'll go back and get a couple off the hard drive.

A second note: This was my first large family/extended family shoot. What I learned:
As always I just need to slow down and take my time... move
Tell people what to do, don't ask... when they look awkward in real life they m
It probably is best to have perfect evening or super early morning light because I (and my subjects) would be less restricted as to where they can be doing candidly wonderful poses. (*no, no, no, don't be loving over there - there is dappling of the light - come over here, wait, no, there - okay ready? 1.2.3 be candid!)

Adrea: Samantha in the Canyon

So I know you're just dying to know what I learned. I learned that Sarah is incredible with composition. Creating it and noticing it both. I learned we should do these little adventures more often - call one of the several families I've been meaning to photograph and make it happen. I learned my 5D's focus point shuffle. I learned Samantha is a great sport. And... that my fixed 50 will do almost anything I ever want to shoot. (Though it was VERY fun to play with Sarah's rented fisheye).

Adrea: Sunset Experiment

Well, I have learned a lot in the last two days. Two days, three big photo shoots.

More later... Sleep now...

Sarah: Sunset Experiment

you may not know this... but it IS FULLY appropriate that I took the vote. photo while we were doing a photo shoot with our lovely sis in law...

while she was standing in this tree she said...something about not taking photos that would surface when she runs for a political office... people she was meant to run the world... can't you see it here?!?!

Just a few for now... check back for more...

Adrea: 6am Experiment

I wish I had more freedom like that to just pull off the road and take a picture when something strikes my fancy, like Sarah did looking at this tree here:

But City Hall was our first destination

Then the bridge. Have I mentioned Sarah has no fear of not knowing where she's going?

Thanks to Sarah for the pain and suffering of waking up. I had fun... I needed a nap, but I was thrilled with the adventure.

Adrea: Mountain Top

So, after a month of three ultimate play dates a week, Abby came to terms with the end. She missed her friends. She was sad. She suggested that perhaps we can do it again... all the time.
