Adrea: Generations

Maddie might be a little loved... a LITTLE... hopefully it won't stunt her emotionally.

Adrea: The Rainbow Skirt

My mom made Abby this skirt, finally finishing last Thursday. Abby has worn the skirt four out of the five days after that.

Adrea: Family Crops & Props

Last family advantage in photography? I can be as artsy in my crops as I want to be and they can't complain... or if they do, I don't have to listen ;) ;) ;).

Awwh, the father. So very important in life, and yet mostly just a prop in maternity shoots. Oh well, Bryan was a GOOD prop.

Okay this will round out my version of Bryan and Megan's maternity shoot. Sarah may also have one with them once Max shows.

Adrea: Another Thing

About working with family is that you can shove clothes at them and tell them to wear them - or even make them change into said clothes on a public beach with little families running around.

Sarah: White Hodge Family+ Part 1

I had the honor of shooting the White Hodge Family this past weekend... despite the heat... I did not hear ONE single complaint from these guys... they were such great models...

Dan is their God Father... and an all around great father and husband... has a PhD, is writing TWO books and is also pretty photo savvy... and came prepared with reflectors... which I found endlessly useful... I was pretty happy to see I got a few great shots of him... kids are easy for me... adults are just a little trickier for me... :)

Adrea: Family Advantage Plan

In photography is that you don't have to work within the confines of business hours and you can just happen to be in the same nice "location" to do an out of town shoot while you're there.

You also get less of a time limit... and more honest nitpicking from your photographer, "Bryan you're looking at me with the classic 'Adrea is crazy' look, stop it"

Adrea: Preview

Okay, the photography geek in me is just beyond excited about editing this maternity shoot with Bryan and Megan. Tied to the theatre, both of them understood I wanted a bit of drama. Anyway, I've always wanted to do beach at sunset - like true sunset- pictures, and finally, finally it all worked out. More in the next few days!

p.s. I can't take credit for ordering them into the freezing ocean - that was their idea, and I'm very very very very glad they went for it!

Adrea: Hudson Part One

Yes, this is an actual baby, not a computer composite of all cute Gerber babies...

Adrea: A Look

This is one of those fuzzy pictures that haunt me so. On the one hand, not perfectly sharp is a legitimate choice for a photographer - especially portraits... on the other, I have a hard time not concentrating on the failure of it. It's like, if I CHOSE to make it softer in post, then I'd accept it.

Sarah: turning 1

Most of the time I leave my "big" camera (5D) as I call it at home and just bring my point and shoot... for birthday parties... but I brought my big one :) this weekend... knowing I will have my hands MORE than full in a few short weeks... with the arrival of Maxwell...

Anyway. Henry turned 1! What a happy kiddo!
