Adrea: Kiss Me? Please!?

Ahh, yes. The ole' kiss the new baby on the head trick. It's such a simple looking shot so why oh why is it so hard to capture? That was a rhetorical question because I have the answer. It's hard to position the camera in such a place that both the kisser and the kissee look nice, have nice light, have a nice expression etc etc. Elliot and Oliver were my first attempt at this and it was magically perfect. Oliver lay nicely on the bed Elliot spent a good ten minutes just staring at, touching tenderly and kissing chastely his new little brother in beautiful light on nice fluffy white linens. Ah. Yes. That was the last time that shot was easy. Beth & I spent three hours trying for the shot only to find later that I'd got it without even realizing it in the first ten seconds. Dena and I tried for a good hour and a half with limited success. Limited enough that the winning shot didn't make it on the blog ;). The reason being mostly because I liked these others so much better. I felt that even with two shoots in a row on Friday I was more able to exercise some creativity. It helped that Dena brought cool fabric with her. GREAT!

Adrea: Energizer Kyle

Oh dear. This family was a joy to shoot. We did have one small snag. Kyle is a typhoon of energy. While he was happy and good-spirited the entire time, he didn't sit unless it was by accident. I was trying to find a way to rise to the challenge and not get a picture of Kyle struggling against the bonds of loving arms, and finally I got him to run AROUND the family if he wouldn't sit with them and further, I told his father, "the next time he comes around grab him and turn him upside down" and sure enough, IIIII like the results!

Adrea: Feeling Left Out

I am so grateful that Abby is so verbal and had so much time being an only child. There are still some times when I'm overwhelming Jack with tickles or kisses that Abby will let me know simply, "I'm feeling left out." She is then promptly attacked by yours truly with tickles and kisses.

Adrea: Proud and Happy

Jack has so much pride in his accomplishments already. Here he is so proud to be sitting on a big boy chair just like Daddy does.

Seriously, people, it HURTS to live with this cuteness. He constantly makes my heart do flip flops, he is so sweet.
